Every site presents different challenges to overcome to create a pleasing garden. Some problems can be overcome simply by placing a plant in a strategic position but others require a great deal of thought to arrive at the correct solution.

The owners of this garden were keen to have a formal garden on this steeply sloping property (1.9m fall across the site).

With the prospect of the garden being ruined during the construction of new boundary walls the owners of this garden decided it was the perfect time to update the garden.

This Spanish Revival duplex is on a corner lot so the outdoor areas were fragmented and the largest area had walls set at unusual angles.

When the new owners bought this property they new that they wanted to renovate both the house and the garden.

The owners of this home wanted to create a Mediterranean courtyard in which to display a sculpture/fountain that they had aquired.

This courtyard wasn't suitable for entertaining in and the view of it from the living areas of the home was very uninviting.

This garden is on an unsewered steeply sloping lot in an environmentally sensitive area. The challenge was to provide a required area of level ground so that the approved waste disposal unit could operate efficiently.

The area under this pergola was too small to accommodate a play area for the children and a large dining table.
