Waterwise
The new front garden and street verge of this large corner property needed to require minimal water to compensate for vegetables, fruit trees and a small lawn to be grown in the back garden. The owners also envisaged the garden beds to incorporate a spiral effect in some way.
Solution
A small central bed containing Balgas and Kangaroo Paws was created with crushed limestone paths and garden beds spiralling out. Form was given to the beds by using edging and a variety of contrasting mulches, selected to complement each other and the foliage of the various plants. Hardy grasses, groundcovers, and an Agonis Afterdark were selected to provide foliage contrast and texture.
